• Provide First Aid

    Meets & exceeds the level required for Rescue Diver, Divemaster or Workplace first aid. This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to help you provide first aid, life support, management of casualties, and incident. Until the arrival of medical or other assistance PFA course will give you the skills and knowledge required to provide First Aid response, life support, management of casualty(s). The incident and other first aiders, in a range of situations, including in the home, workplace or within the community, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.


    – 1 day face to face with First Aid Trainer.

    – Operate an AED in an Emergency
    – Shock Management
    – Airway Management Asthma, Choking, Hyperventilation
    – Severe Allergic Reaction

    – Special techniques for children and infants
    – Seizures and Convulsions
    – Bleeding and Wound Care
    – Burns and Scalds
    – Extremes of Heat and Cold Musculoskeletal Injuries
    – Poisons and Toxic Substances
    – Bites and Stings
    – Abdominal injuries
    – Infection control


    -There are no prerequisites.


    Current industry standards state this course must be updated every 3 years with the CPR component being updated every 12 months.


    Students will be assessed through the demonstration of practical skills, participation in role plays, analysis of case studies, and a written quiz.


    On successful completion of this course, students will receive a nationally recognized Statement of Attainment.

    **Please note: It is a requirement for this course that the practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the floor.**
